Every year, Jordan Credit Union awards $11,000 in scholarships. We want to give you, your children or your grandchildren the best opportunity to succeed in college. Our scholarships are easy to understand and easy to qualify for. We have a variety of scholarships to meet the needs of every member with aspirations of becoming a college graduate. All members age 18 and younger are eligible for our Youth Scholarships. For every $5 that is deposited into a youth savings account, a $1000 ticket is automatically generated for a scholarship drawing at our annual meeting in March. One $1,000 scholarships and one $2,000 grand prize scholarship will be awarded each year. Special Youth Scholarship Anyone ages 18 and younger is
eligible for our Special Youth Scholarship. When a child becomes a JCU member, a completed Special Youth Scholarship form enters them in a drawing for a $1000 each quarter. If a child ages 18 and younger is already a member, a $25 deposit with a completed form will also enter them in the drawing. Memorial Scholarship
Members who are currently seniors in High School pursuing higher education are eligible for this scholarship. One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded. A Memorial Scholarship Form must be completed and turned in before March 7, 2014.
Continuing Education Scholarship
Members who have graduated High School and still wish to pursue higher education are eligible for the Continuing Education Scholarship. Account must have a $100 balance to remain eligible. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. A Continuing Education Scholarship Form must be completed by March 7, 2014 to be valid.
All scholarship applications except the Special Youth Scholarship are due by Friday, March 6, 2015. Only one entry per member for the Continuing Education, Special Youth and Memorial Scholarships. Only one entry is permitted each quarter for the Special Youth Scholarship. Attendance is not required at the JCU Annual Meeting (Wednesday March 11, 2015) but is encouraged. Must be the main account holder to qualify for the Continuing Education and Memorial Scholarships. Youth Scholarships do not require a form. All $5 deposits for the youth scholarship that occur in 2014 will count for the 2015 scholarship drawing.
